Who says the thrill of skydiving only lasts for one dive or if you've done it
once, you've experienced it all? Relax contributor Hannah Teoh went for her
second skydive attempt in May this year and said the second time was even
better than the first. Read on to find out why...
I went skydiving in Melbourne, Australia. It was my second time skydiving.
The first time I skydived was in 2005, in Taupo, New Zealand.
I wanted to do it again because I wanted to do something exciting while on
holiday, and skydiving was part of a 2D1N package I had for my trip to
Melbourne.
I rented a car and drove about an hour from downtown Melbourne to Lilydale,
where the airfield was.
Lilydale airfield is located near a lot of popular wineries in the Yarra region.
The 20-minute scenic flight up was beautiful.
I didn't feel nervous or scared. In fact, I was pretty calm and nonchalant.
My skydiving instructor, who would be doing the tandem jump with me joked
before we got out of the plane: "This is your second time skydiving. You better
take care of me!"
When I dropped out of the plane, the first thing that shocked me wasn't how
fast we were falling, but how cold it was at that altitude!
