21 Singaporeans stranded at the Endau Rompin National Park in Johor have been successfully rescued by Malaysian authorities.
They were stranded after flood waters cut off access to their location.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs said in a statement that Malaysian authorities rescued them using helicopters at around noon today.
They are in good health and are returning to Singapore.
Officers from the Singapore Consulate in Johor Baru were on site in Mersing and worked closely with Malaysian authorities to ensure their safety.
The Singapore Consulate-General in Johor Baru also expressed its appreciation to the Malaysian authorities for helping to rescue the stranded Singaporeans.
